Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL: Specifications confirmed before launch

The launch of the new Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL is scheduled for next Tuesday, 15 of October. However, Canadian retailer Best Buy has already listed both devices on its site for pre-order, confirming the characteristics of the rumors.

Without leaving room for surprise, the site lists the specifications in a comparison between both models. Both will have two cameras at the rear and one front, and both start at 6GB RAM and 64 GB of storage.

Specifications of Google Pixel 4/4 XL and the already released Pixel 3 XL

As you can see in the image above, the rear cameras of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will be 12 MP (main) and 16 MP (possibly telephoto). These cameras will allow the user to record 4K video.

Snapdragon 855 is Google’s chosen processor

The front camera is at 8MP, and video recording with maximum resolution set at 1080 p. The processor is also the same on both devices: they will feature Snapdragon 855 at a time where Snapdrogon 855 Plus could be an option.

Where the differences begin is in their size. The base model has a 5.7 inch OLED screen with Full HD resolution. The XL model goes up to 6.3 inches with the Quad HD screen.

Pixel 4 battery seems insufficient

The Pixel 4’s battery is, in disarming sight, a concern. We know this is pure Android, but 2800 mAh seem sparse. The XL model raises the stop for the 3700 mAh, but we must take into account the higher resolution and screen.

Screen Hz is guaranteed on both models

It is important to note that the screen of both devices will be 90 Hz for better flow, and at least one version of is expected) GB of internal storage. In terms of possible features, Quick Gestures are the most talked about. Performing actions on the device without touching the screen will be a possibility, we will have to confirm their usability.
